"Our experience of working with Simon on 'Our Story' was amazing from start to finish. Right from the first communication Simon was friendly, quick to reply and gave us clear information about how the whole process would unfold.
No one in our family is experienced speaking in front of cameras and we were slightly apprehensive on the day. However, Simon and his lovely production assistant put us at ease immediately and we had an absolute blast over the whole weekend. The interview filming genuinely felt like sitting on your couch and chatting to a friend, something which I think we can see shine through in the finished product.
When I we saw our finished 'Our Story' video we were absolutely blown away. Simon really captured so many beautiful candid moments, shot beautiful stills of family treasures and got some great stories and quotes out of the interviews. Our three year old son asks to watch the video on repeat and we just know it's going to be something we treasure forever.

Across two days, we'll be interviewing up to six of your family members, these will then be edited into an approximately 20 minute video. But that's not all...
SPECIAL LOCATIONS
We'll also take one family member to three nearby locations which have a special meaning to your family.
FAMILY PHOTOS
Family photos are also included, some filmed with you and others added digitally. If you have any short digital video clips, you can also have these included too.
MEMENTOS
You'll be able to include family mementos to help tell you stories. These could be family
heirlooms, new or old.
FAMILY GET TOGETHER
And at the end of filming, we recommend you set up a family get together (at your own cost) at the filming location, so we can get some great shots of the wider family having fun together.

BEHIND THE SCENES - Simon
Born in Sherwood Forest (yes it's a real place!), Simon's path to the beautiful Tasman region began with studying Media Production in the outstanding Lakes region of northern England.
Simon has worked for the BBC, filmed documentaries in Alaska, Central America and the South Pacific. Plus filmed, directed and edited corporate videos in Auckland for seven years. He has also edited for TVNZ. All of which lead to an amazing life producing videos in Nelson since 2019.
Simon has the ability to make anyone feel comfortable in front of the camera and loves to tell real stories from real people.
